These local men and women deliver fresh lobster to our Stonington wharf every day, where we custom-pack your order and overnight it to you. Fresh and flavorful, direct to your door!

Did you know: Every time Maine lobster fishermen catch a female lobster with eggs, they notch the tail and throw her back. Any lobster with a notched tail must forever be returned to the sea, whether she has eggs present or not. All of our live lobsters are guaranteed to arrive alive. But our commitment to fresh seafood doesn’t end there. When you buy frozen products from ShopLobster, you are still guaranteed that fresh, straight from the sea taste. How can we do that? Please read on.

All of our frozen products are processed in a state-of-the-art HPP processing facility and then flash-frozen in an IQF nitrogen machine. HPP stands for High-Pressure Processing, a cold pasteurization technique, which is extremely effective. It leverages ultra-high-pressure purified water to inactivate bacteria, such as listeria, E. coli, and salmonella. Neutralizing these pathogens allows packaged foods to stay fresh longer.

IQF freezers use liquid nitrogen to freeze small foods that are normally very difficult to freeze well, such as raspberries or seafood. The products are frozen singly rather than in a group, allowing each to keep its individual form, texture and, most importantly, retain its fresh taste.

If you place your order before 11AM, you'll be eligible for next-day shipping. If you order after 11AM, shipping will automatically adjust to the next available date. Also note that in order to preserve the freshness of our products, we do not deliver on Saturday, Sunday or Monday, so please plan ahead!

For some of our customers, Next Day Air and Next Day Air Saver may seem only incrementally different. We include both because in certain locations, Next Day Air Saver is not available.
